An ARID-Dry CDH-R-126-2.0 desiccant dehumidifier can remove a lot of moisture,
according to Scott Mims of ServiceMaster by Mimsco, in Anniston, Alabama. Scott was called to clean up an appraiser’s office in Pell City, Alabama, after an overhead water sprinkler gave way in November. Scott and his crew brought in their trailer mounted 2000 CFM unit produced by ARID-Dry and got the job done in 3 days. The damaged office was 5,500 square feet with 10 foot ceilings and the CDH-R-126-2.0 was able to reduce the affected air in the building from 78 to 9 grains in just a short period of time. The ARID-Dry unit runs at a lower noise level making it possible for associated air movers to run at a lower, quieter speed. This was important, according to Scott, because it allowed the office to stay open for business while the clean up and dry out took place. The dehumidifier is powered by a 90 gallon propane tank and is easily transported to any job. Scott said the ARID-Dry unit provided outstanding performance, above and beyond his expectations.
