Money Saving Tips From CDIMS
In the next three newsletters we will provide money saving tips to reduce natural gas costs regarding your desiccant dehumidifier.
To reduce natural gas use and heat gain on your desiccant dehumidifier:
1. Have an ARID-Ice service technician tune-up unit.   2. Re-tune your unit to reduce temperatures and gas use.

Often dehumidifiers are found to be inadequately set-up or suffer from constituents that have failed or are out of calibration. A seasonal inspection can reveal deficiencies that increase fuel use.
Approximate Cost: $800.00 - $1,500.00 depending on your location

Dehumidifiers come from the factory set-up for maximum dehumidification performance but this also means maximum fuel use and maximum heat carry-over. Typically, the capacity is generous and the dehumidifier reactivation system might allow reduced temperature operation. Gas savings and less heat can result. ARID-ICE units employ a microprocessor controller that can be reconfigured to do this. A visit by our service technician is required, but it is not a difficult or time consuming operation.
Approximate Cost: $0.00 if done with tune-up
